About the cards

Not just a bunch of pretty colors...
Find out how each relates to game play.

Card Types

The cards are divided into 5 categories:

Characters
Character cards have a yellow corner and a person icon. They determine a type of character for the scene. Characters are divided into occupation, age, historical, or fictional types

Props
Prop cards have a green corner with a hammer icon. Prop cards signify items that must be used in the scene. Props can be imagined or real, although the weapon prop should always be imagined or fake.

Conflict
Conflict cards have orange corners with a bomb icon. Conflict is the essence of humor. These cards help set up the type of conflict for the situation.

Places
Place cards have blue corners with a location icon. These cards set up a location for the script. During game play, be creative in setting the location of the scene and utilize it to your advantage.

Skill
Skill cards have purple corners with a Star icon. Inside the star there is a number showing the difficulty (1 = easy). Skill cards are cards that test the actor’s abilities and make the Scenes more difficult.

Additionally...

When selecting cards to give to a team, you cannot give a team more than 1 of a skill, conflict or place card. You cannot play more character cards than there are actors on a team.

Each card has specific instructions on how it should be used in the white corner of the card. Be sure to read that carefully before you begin.

Also, we aren't leaving you out in the cold. In the light blue section there is a list of ideas that you can choose from if you are drawing a blank. Feel free to use any of the examples, or use them as a guideline for whatever ideas you have.
